staniel cay bahamas
a friend has a house in the bahamas, he let us stay for 10 days, truly a beautiful place to visit. let's start with the trip to get there, 3 flights, ft lauderdale, nassau, staniel cay. first 2 flights no problem, flight from nassau to staniel cay well that was interesting. when you bring 2 girls with you they tend to pack way too much, enough clothes for a month, yo we're going to the beach, a couple pairs of shorts, t's, bathing suit done, yea good luck with that and don't forget the booze there's no liquor store on the island. here's the fun part i rented a plane ($400 one way) and oh what a plane. first try packing all of our shit into a 1969 cessna 4 passenger 1 prop, way over the weight limit. pilot, nice guy local bahamian, all aboard, ashley and tarah back seats, me next to the pilot front row, can you get the door, sure, huh, no door handle, how do i close, pilot, oh grab that shoestring and tie it tight that should hold it (gives a new meaning to flying by a shoestring), put on the seat belts, yea they'll help. take off not too bad, tarah is freaking out big time, i noticed that none of the gauges on the dash were working, pilot, yea don't need those haven't worked for years. 30 minutes approaching staniel cay, hold on we have to go over that hill might be some downdraft, yikes he wasn't kidding, we land, tarah might have soiled the seat, i untie the shoestring, we are here, enjoy the following photos, and let's not forget the swimming pigs. canon a1 ektachrome various asa fstops 28 85 135mm filters

living on cape cod
for about 20 years, much better place to bring up my daughter than downtown chicago. loved it there, but the winters are brutal, beaches are awesome, enjoy a few shots. canon eos elan7 ektachrome various asa lenses filters

ok so it's late 70's and i'm hanging with some friends, drinking, smoking whatever, let's go to the store, on our way we pass a movie theater that just closed. i try the front door, open, so we go inside, always wanted to up to the projector room. on a shelf is a lens, i pick it up, it's heavy, it reads bausch & lomb optical co. rochester ny usa cinemascope projector attachment, i remove the cover and look through the lens wow this is cool i have to have this. i still have the lens and plan on using it again. marriott lincolnshire golf club, i used to drive my triumph spitfire over this bridge the des plaines river flooded the course. canon a1 ektachrome infrared yellow#12 400asa 28mm f11 handheld heavy cinemascope lens
